 It was the key national-security debate of the 2016 election. Donald Trump won the election, in no small part, because he appeared to be on the right side of it. Appeared is used advisedly: Trump was at least in the general vicinity of the bull’s-eye; his opponent wouldn’t even acknowledge the target existed — except in the most grudging of ways, and only because Trump had forced the issue. 

The question boiled down to this: Are you willing to name the enemy? 

After a quarter-century of willful blindness, it was at least a start. We should note, moreover, that it’s a start we owe to the president-elect. Washington, meaning both parties, had erected such barriers to a rational public discussion of our enemies that breaking through took Trump’s outsized persona, in all its abrasive turns and its excesses.

We’re teaching university students lies

My primary interest has always been the psychology of belief. Partly religious belief, and ideology as a sub-category of religious belief. One of Jung’s propositions was that whatever a person values most highly is their god. If people think they are atheistic, it means is they are unconscious of their gods. In a sophisticated religious system, there is a positive and negative polarity. Ideologies simplify that polarity and, in doing so, demonize and oversimplify. I got interested in ideology, in a large part, because I got interested in what happened in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, the Cultural Revolution in China, and equivalent occurrences in other places in the world. Mostly I concentrated on Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. I was particularly interested in what led people to commit atrocities in service of their belief. The motto of the Holocaust Museum in Washington is “we must never forget.” I’ve learned that you cannot remember what you don’t understand. People don’t understand the Holocaust, and they don’t understand what happened in Russia. I have this course called “Maps of Meaning,” which is based on a book I wrote by the same name, and it outlines these ideas. One of the things that I’m trying to convince my students of is that if they had been in Germany in the 1930s, they would have been Nazis. Everyone thinks “Not me,” and that’s not right. It was mostly ordinary people who committed the atrocities that characterized Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

Interestingly on of the hooks here is that Trumps daughter is an observant convert to Judaism and her husband is observant. Divine Providence and Donald Trump

The problem I found with all of the coverage of the election in the US and here was that so many column inches where devoted to bucketing Trump personally that his policy proposals hardly got a look in. When they did they were distorted to make him look bad.  For example, he is going to tear up free trade deals and put a large tariff on Chinese imported goods.  How naive can journalists get. Trump is a negotiator. First there is no such thing as free trade. Free trade deals are the end result of horse trading. Second, he wants a better deal for US companies. He won’t get that by simply asking for it with no sanctions in his back pocket.

Another example, he is going to desert allies. No, he wants them to stump up their ‘fair share’ (should appeal to liberals) of military spending. Again, they are not going to do that it as a result of simply being asked.

Trump’s policies of appointing Supreme Court justices who will follow the Constitution, repealing and replacing Obamacare, negotiating better trade deals, securing the border, chucking out felonious illegal aliens, stopping immigration of people from countries which breed Islamic terrorism, building up the depleted military, defeating ISIS, tearing up or improving the Iranian deal, repairing the relationship with Israel, lowering business taxes, lessening regulations, freeing up the production of conventional energy, giving school choice to people in the inner cities, giving hospital choice to veterans, and repairing broken infrastructure all seem pretty sensible to me, and consistent with a conservative agenda.

An Open Letter to the #NeverTrumpers

I recently met with an academic colleague for drinks, and the conversation quickly turned, as seems inevitable these days, to American politics. She was appalled when I expressed my admiration for Donald Trump. How could I break ranks so egregiously? After all, she expatiated, Trump wants to end all immigration to the U.S., he hates Muslims, he intends to launch a vendetta against Mexicans, he is an uneducated barbarian and an unscrupulous mountebank to boot.

I explained that she had been conned by the media blitzkrieg against Trump and had not considered his stated policies, for which he has gone on public record: To reduce the multi-trillion dollar American debt, bring jobs back to a country suffering massive unemployment, seal the porous southern border in order to stem what amounts to an invasion of the homeland, monitor immigration protocols to prevent the Muslimization of the United States and limit jihadist attacks, and stamp out high-level corruption. Anyone against these legitimate and necessary endeavors has either been fast asleep or is in sync with the forces of destruction. What, then, was her position on these issues?

No answer was forthcoming. I was, apparently, an alt-right apologist for political oppression, a traitor to the morally enlightened consensus, and, to put it succinctly, a lost cause. She rose from the table and walked out with an expression of contempt on her face. I suppose one could expect little different from someone who reads only The Huffington Post, The New York Times, the National Post and the Toronto Star, and listens to the pap spewed out by the CBC, CNN and MSNBC. Like most liberals, she was wholly unfamiliar with the countervailing literature and was therefore in no position to weigh evidence, balance competing viewpoints, and make an informed judgment. And like most leftists, her only response to an opposing argument was to shut down the debate. Trump was doubtless the monster rising from the Black Lagoon, slavering to devour the country. Case closed.

Assange: Clinton & ISIS funded by same money, Trump won’t be allowed to win (JOHN PILGER EXCLUSIVE)

In a most recent and revealing interview, Julian Assange met with his favorite documentarian, John Pilger.  Assange offers several predictions and analyses, most quite revealing.

Keeping the source in mind in such matters is important.  Realizing that mono source information demands a certain level of skepticism, we shouldn’t simply file it for immediate dismissal.

The two most glaring points raised by Assange are as follows:

1. Trump will “not be permitted to win.”

In answer to the question, “Is Wikileaks trying to put Trump in the White House?” Assange insists that Trump will not be permitted to win.  “Banks, intelligence, arms companies, big foreign money, etc. is all united behind Hillary Clinton….and the media as well…the owners and the journalists themselves.”

2. The Clinton Foundation has received significant contributions from some of the same countries that are funding ISIS.  Hillary Clinton was aware of the Saudi funding of ISIS and also accepted money for her foundation from the Saudis.

Assange notes the most significant email in the entire load of emails may well be the one in which Hillary (2014) contacts John Podesta.  This email statesthat “the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region…” (video, 2:08) . Assange notes that the backing is from “the governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.”

Pilger observes,”… ISIL or ISIS is created largely with money from the very people who are giving money to the Clinton Foundation.”  Assange agreed.

My Little Girl Almost Became a Human Sacrifice!

Back in the early eighties my young family and I lived next door to an Iranian family. They were nice, friendly people. Hamid (not his real name) was a physician who was just starting out in his own practice. His wife, Haideh, also Iranian born, was a mathematician. She taught at a local college. We moved in to our brand new houses just months apart and shared the rigors of nurturing lawns where there had been only bulldozer tracks. We cooperated in the planting of trees and shrubs to define the empty expanses between our new homes. We borrowed tools from each other. Hamid and I played tennis often and even discussed the possibility of building a tennis court in the flat spot where our lots met. Our children played together and his son, Amir and my daughter Amy became very close friends. The two of them were barely more than toddlers when they first met but were soon talking about getting married the way little ones sometimes do when they find a close companion of the opposite sex.

The next summer, they went back to Iran to visit with their families. We were afraid for our friends. We knew the country was in turmoil. They were gone for several weeks. For much of that time my Amy’s days were occupied with day camp but she still missed her friend. They finally returned a week before school. 

It was a sunny Sunday morning and Amy went out right after breakfast and met Amir in his backyard. We watched as they began to play and turned away to read the Sunday paper. We were surprised when Amy came back inside a short while later. She walked by us with her head down and started up the stairs to her room. We had expected to have to call her in for lunch so it was odd that she came back so early. I called after her and asked her what was wrong. She told me how little 5-year-old Amir had matter-of-factly informed my innocent 5-year-old daughter that because she is a Jew it is his duty to kill her.

Human Sacrifice in the 21st Century- Surprise! Its Us!

I have a lot of reasons for wanting Trump to win the presidency some of them are negative in nature but more of them are positive. One of them is that he promises to protect us from unnecessary sacrifice. Lest you think that I am being overly dramatic or hyperbolic, think about the word sacrifice. When we think of human sacrifice we tend to think of it as a religious practice, something that took place only in the benighted past. It was, we like to believe, a practice born of superstition and ignorance, something we could never countenance today. And yet, we now see human sacrifice on a regular basis in the middle east, in Europe and the US. Surprisingly, I have come to agree with the Obama, Kerry, Clinton unwillingness to call this Islamic terror. Not that I doubt the existence of Islamic terror. Its just that I have come to see that it is really a liberal/progressive plan that encompasses many other kinds of terror- some obvious and some not. I would call it liberal/progressive human sacrifice. What qualifies it as human sacrifice and what is its purpose? Let me explain.

Of course, I am disgusted by the stories that dominate the election campaign. I am disgusted as a law professor, an attorney, a father of daughters, and as a rabbi. Women making accusations that they have been sexually abused — Paula Corbin Jones who received an $850,000 settlement from Bill Clinton; Kathleen Willey who went to Bill Clinton in the White House, desperate for a job after her husband killed himself; Juanita Broaddrick, a Clinton volunteer who insists he raped her; the new list of women whose names I am only now learning who say that Donald Trump groped or kissed them against their will. The abused women whose reputations and lives were destroyed by Hillary Clinton, as she defended her husband’s public profile after each “bimbo eruption.” Hillary referred to victims as “looney tunes” and worse, her team including the likes of James Carville and Sidney Blumenthal characterized them as “trailer trash,” and Hillary most infamously ruined the life of 12-year-old Kathy Shelton, raped by a 41-year-old whom Hillary was required to defend. There was nothing wrong in Hillary defending—every accused criminal deserves a good defense. But Hillary destroyed the girl in the process and proceeded years later laughing about that case and regaling an interviewer with anecdotes of that tragedy.

The Price of Muslim Immigration in Europe

Thanks to Wikileaks we now have in our possession an extraordinary document. It was not written by anyone in the Clinton campaign, but was sent to her campaign manager, Jon Podesta. The author was a Dutch journalist/academic named Orca. Presumably Podesta commissioned it.

The report outlines the consequences of Angela Merkel’s madness. It does not mention that Hillary Clinton admires Merkel above all other foreign leaders. One does not understand how she could support such a policy when her campaign chairman has read a report like the one exposed by Wikileaks. At the least, she will never be able to plead ignorance.

Orca offers a no-holds-bar picture of what Muslim immigration is doing to Europe, in particular to Germany. And it shows how multiculturalists are aiding and abetting the destruction of the European continent, and thus to the destruction of one of the great examples of Western civilization. It is an object lesson to those dimwits who believe, based on no evidence at all, that it will be easy to integrate a massive number of Muslim immigrants.

Make America Victorious Again

At the 2016 elections our bipartisan foreign policy class is near-unanimous, not so much behind Hillary Clinton nor even against Donald Trump. Rather, it circles its wagons around its own identities, ideas, practices, and, yes, livelihoods. Clinton represents the ruling class’s people and priorities in foreign affairs as in domestic ones, though she seems to care even less about the former’s substance. Trump, a stranger to most of the foreign policy class (though not to its current epitome, Henry Kissinger) has voiced views on foreign affairs that are within the establishment’s variances in substance if not in tone. Chastise and threaten NATO for its lack of contributions? Senate majority Leader Mike Mansfield (D-MT) offered an amendment to that effect in 1970. Cozy up to Putin? Hillary Clinton brought him a bright red “reset” button in 2009.

Nevertheless, the foreign policy class does not merely reject Trump; it detests him. Why? Because Trump, in tone even more than substance, expresses the subversive thought that U.S. foreign policy has failed to “put America first,” causing the nation to suffer defeat after defeat. Hence, the entire foreign policy class—in the bureaucracies, think tanks, academe, and the media—are a bunch of losers. Millions of Americans consider these two thoughts to be common sense. But the above-mentioned class takes the first as the root of heresies, and the second as a demagogic insult. Consequently, the 2016 election is not so much about any particular plank in any foreign policy platform. It is about who defines and what constitutes common sense.

As I've said for years - on radio, TV and in print - for me the overriding issue in American politics is the corruption. In the Obama era, we have seen the remorseless merging of the party and the state - in the IRS, in the Justice Department and elsewhere. Whatever one feels about, say, Scandinavia, they at least come to their statism and socialism more or less honestly. Not so the United States...

Now come the latest revelations. Powerline's John Hinderaker writes:

In the first page, an unidentified FBI employee says he was "pressured" to change the classification of an email to render it unclassified. This pressure came from someone within the FBI, who said he had been contacted by Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy, who "had asked his assistance in altering the email's classification in exchange for a 'quid pro quo.'" The quid pro quo was that, if the FBI would say the email was unclassified, the State Department would allow the FBI to "place more Agents in countries where they are presently forbidden."

So, to add to the corrupt revenue agency and the corrupt justice department, we now have a corrupt national law enforcement agency and a corrupt foreign ministry - willing, indeed, to subordinate national security and its own diplomatic policy to the personal needs of Hillary Clinton. Needless to say, if you get your news from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc, etc, you will be entirely unaware of all this. Which is the way they plan on operating for the next eight years.

Dear Progressives: My Path From Left To Right

You aren’t the individual you think you are.  Your style, tastes, politics, genes, psychology, and values are all inherited.  Even your views of individuality aren’t original, they are inherited from  existentialism.  You cling to your cherished self-image as a pure individual because it is the source of your sense of superiority when all such sources are denied you by your stated egalitarianism.  It’s OK to be just another normal white person.  Give up your pretensions and resentments.  Be normal.  Get your self-esteem from your family, friends, and successes like  a normal person, not in public displays of holiness, showing how much you can deny and punish yourself.

You don’t have to believe what you know is false:  that men and women are psychologically identical, that racial disparities are always caused by racism, that heterosexuality isn’t nature’s norm, that multiculturalism doesn’t increase inter-ethnic conflict, and on and on.  Political Correctness is just a set of mandatory lies in the service of political power.  It’s all bullshit; you don’t have to believe any of it.  It’s OK to admit that you prefer people like yourself.  That is normal human nature.  It doesn’t make you x-phobic.  It’s OK.  It isn’t scary for long.  You can join the truly reality-based community.

Just look at what this corrupt establishment has done to our cities like Detroit; Flint, Michigan; and rural towns in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina and all across our country. Take a look at what’s going on. They stripped away these town bare. And raided the wealth for themselves and taken our jobs away out of our country never to return unless I’m elected president.

The Clinton machine is at the center of this power structure. We’ve seen this first hand in the WikiLeaks documents, in which Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty in order to enrich these global financial powers, her special interest friends and her donors.

Honestly, she should be locked up.

Let’s be clear on one thing, the corporate media in our country is no longer involved in journalism. They’re a political special interest no different than any lobbyist or other financial entity with a total political agenda, and the agenda is not for you, it’s for themselves.

And their agenda is to elect crooked Hillary Clinton at any cost, at any price, no matter how many lives they destroy.

For them it’s a war, and for them nothing at all is out of bounds. This is a struggle for the survival of our nation, believe me. And this will be our last chance to save it on November 8th, remember that.

NO FLIES ON HILLARY The fly knows what the media doesn’t.

Kathy Shelton had been beaten and raped into a coma by Hillary’s client. On tape, Hillary could be heard laughing as she recalled how she had gotten her rapist off while accusing Kathy of making it all up.

THE PROBLEM WITH USING THE TAX CODE TO PUNISH ISRAELI SETTLEMENTS

J Street and like-minded progressives are campaigning to eliminate U.S. tax exemptions for charitable groups that provide support to Jewish communities in the West Bank. The reason: the communities’ existence contradicts the views of President Obama. J Street’s campaign violates the law and the Constitution, and it also suggests an alarming trend in which critics of Israel get a free pass from the Left’s overall strong commitment to civil liberties and distrust of authoritarian government.

While J Street claims that its demand is justified on the grounds that private Americans’ support for settlements contravenes “established public policy,” J Street is calling for the administration to do something unprecedented and clearly unconstitutional. To put it simply, J Street et al are asking that some non-profits be denied tax exemptions because they disagree with the President on diplomatic matters. That’s what going against ”public policy” means here—not violating any statutes, but pursuing goals at odds with the foreign policy of the President.

They want a country where if you speak up you get labelled deplorable, irredeemable, and racist. And the media goes along.

John Ratcliffe verbally crucifies James Comey over Hillary Clinton emails

An intellectually honest person would have to admit the only reasonable conclusion drawn from the current FBI documentation, combined with the recently disclosed immunity agreements, is they had no intention of charging anyone involved with the Clinton email scandal and subsequent coverup – from the outset.

It you are one of the increasingly rare few who hold the opinion that FBI Director James Comey was attempting to find otherwise, I would strongly urge you to watch this video.

Pay specifically close attention to the segment where Representative Ratcliffe outlines the lies made by Platte River Network’s Paul Combetta and how those lies align with the immunity Combetta was given.

Combetta was given DOJ immunity in December 2015, he lied to the FBI in February of 2016 and yet Comey can’t reconcile why the immunity didn’t immediately dissolve.

The Anger Gambit

In consequence, there’s essentially no discourse remaining. Instead, the Left keeps screeching to “keep the hate alive.” The reaction on the Right is usually something like this:

I’m increasingly pissed off by what I’m seeing and I resent the people behind it. Guys like Juan Williams should be on TV demanding the cops round up every last Charlotte rioter and pack them off to Africa. The rich black guys on TV talking sportsball should be mortified that their co-ethnics are embarrassing their race with these antics. If the roles were reversed and it was whites making asses of themselves, you can be sure the honkies on TV would be furious and embarrassed, demanding a halt to it.

That’s not how it works and that’s what is getting tiresome. Those two black girls get the idea in their heads to make a nuisance of themselves in the street and I’m supposed to feel guilty about it. Frankly, Glenn Reynolds was right. Let’s have a few motorists drive over these people and then we can talk about feeling guilty. Let’s have the cops unleash the dogs and water cannon on these rioters and then talk to me about feeling guilty. I’ll be happy to feel guilty as long as the streets are clear.

Open-if-insincere anger versus repressed-but-justified anger. Who wins?

Mind you, this is not an argument against getting angry. It’s about what anger-in-discourse means and how it can be used.

The Left’s adoption of a politics of division compels them to brandish anger as their principal weapon. And to the extent that it gains its objectives, it will be emulated and intensified.

To prevent Leftist anger-in-discourse from gaining its objectives, we must meet anger with anger – and our anger must be of incomparably greater magnitude.

There’s already a perceptible movement in that direction. Whites are sick and tired for being blamed for the myriad failures of American blacks. Christians are sick and tired of being persecuted de facto for their beliefs. Men have pretty much had it with feminists and their endless shrill denunciations. And so on.

It’s a start, but only a start. It must grow, and become vocal, and to the extent required by circumstances – girls, hold onto your boyfriends — it must meet violence with superior force.

That will be a sticking point for many, who prefer to leave “that sort of thing” to the politicians, organizers, and commentators (and the superior force part, of course, to “the authorities”). However, dealing ourselves out because we’re private persons who “just want to be left alone” is no longer viable…especially as “the authorities” are tacitly complicit in the Left’s tactics. Consider the “official” reactions to the rioting in Ferguson, Baltimore, Charlotte, and Milwaukee.

Day #10 – FBI Director James Comey Admits “Stonetear” is Paul Combetta During Hearing….

It has been 10 days since we originally presented the Stonetear Revelations on September 19th.

Yesterday, Ohio Representative Jim Jordan questioned FBI Director James Comey about the “Stonetear” Reddit posting. Director Comey admits that Stonetear is in fact Paul Combetta, and the “VERY VIP” was, indeed, Hillary Clinton.

Additionally Director Comey also stated the phrase “they” in the Combetta post  (ie. “Basically, they don’t want the VIP’s email address exposed to anyone“…) most likely included Hillary Clinton’s legal team. Watch:

However, stunningly Comey appears almost disingenuous about the action of Paul Combetta (it makes no difference to Comey) where Combetta scrubbed the postings in an attempt to cover-up/hide the original intent of the document manipulation (Sept.20th).

When questioned about whether he would re-open the investigation given this information Comey gave no response.  Even more alarming is Comey admitting the influencing agents behind the request to Combetta were most likely Cheryl Mills and Hillary Clinton’s legal team during their conversations on July 23rd and 24th 2014.

How the heck can Comey sit there with a straight face and say there was no reason to prosecute any of the participants in the email scheme, when he’s now admitting they carried forethought into the process on July 24th (Stonetear), and Paul Combetta himself exhibited consciousness of guilt in his actions trying to scrub the traces of that forethought only 9 days ago?   BULLSH*T !!

Why the Oslo Process Doomed Peace

Twenty-three years after its euphoric launch on the White House lawn, the Oslo "peace process" between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) stands out as one of the worst calamities to have afflicted the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. For Israel, it has been the starkest strategic blunder in its history, establishing an ineradicable terror entity on its doorstep, deepening its internal cleavages, destabilizing its political system, and weakening its international standing. For the West Bank and Gaza Palestinians, it has brought subjugation to the corrupt and repressive PLO and Hamas regimes, which reversed the hesitant advent of civil society in these territories, shattered their socioeconomic wellbeing, and made the prospects of peace and reconciliation with Israel ever more remote. This in turn means that, even if the territories were to be internationally recognized as a fully-fledged Palestinian state (with or without a formal peace treaty with Israel), this will be a failed entity in the worst tradition of Arab dictatorships at permanent war with both Israel and its own subjects.

Twilight of American Jewry

Perhaps the most striking thing about the Jewish Republicans’ behavior is that while attacking the anti-Semites at the margins of the Republican Party, they ignore the anti-Semites at the heart of the Democratic Party.

While Trump has disavowed the support of the GOP’s Jew-hating wing, some of Clinton’s closest advisers harbor virulent anti-Semitic beliefs.

Take Sidney Blumenthal for instance. Blumenthal has been a close adviser to the Clintons for decades. We learned from Clinton’s emails made public earlier this year by Judicial Watch that Blumenthal was one of Clinton’s most intimate advisers throughout her tenure as secretary of state.

Blumenthal’s son Max is a raving anti-Semite. He calls for the destruction of Israel. He compares Israel to Nazi Germany and IDF soldiers to the Nazi SS.

Blumenthal Sr. is a proud father. He regularly shared his son’s ravings with Clinton, and she shared his delight. In eight separate emails over the course of her tenure in office, Clinton enthusiastically praised his Jew-hating propaganda.

In one message email, Clinton wrote, “Your Max is a mitzva.”

On the one hand then, we have the Jewish Democrats who are faced with a party that is increasingly controlled by anti-Semitic forces. And on the other hand we are in the midst of the collective political suicide of the Jewish Republican establishment.

It is hard to know how Israel will be affected by the dramatic enfeeblement of the American Jewish community that we are now witnessing. The fact remains that the vast majority of American support for Israel comes from the evangelical Christian community.

What is clear enough though is that the political waning of the Jewish community across the political spectrum means that the golden era of American Jewry is not only over. It is gone.
